Surfer Style Makes Waves in the Mountains

More than 1,000 Kilometers to the west of Denver is the Pacific Ocean. With the attractiveness of the blue water and tropical life which phone us to the shore comes a particular style style from those whose lives revolve a whole lot across the water. Surfer style — a mix of bohemian, casual and hippie components has recently sparked many iconic style runways such as Spring/Summer 2019. Michael Kors, Chanel, Chloe and Calvin Klein all debuted surfer-inspired looks spanning in swimwear, nonconformist skirts, picture t-shirts, strappy sandals, broad straps and loose waves. Collectively, these elements created unique and widespread designs which we celebrate in Denver. This 303 Magazine showcases how to attract surfer-inspired style to the hills.

MERGED PATTERNS

The Lowdown: Pattern mixing always acts as a fashionable route to consider after grooming, but the cooperation between the ’90s newly renovated fashion of tie-dye and the updated bold floral design — seen steadily in the beach — are just two bohemian trends that exude true fashion. Collectively, these patterns enabled for a free-spirited approach and the side slit exhibited a flirtatious vibe. Loose waves from the hair paired with big framed sunglasses pulled inspiration from casual street fashion and reduced the amount of eye makeup needed for this particular look. For a strappy pair of shoes is an easy and stylish shoe option, but for day a metallic set of heels elevates the look.

GRAPHIC TEE OBSESSED

Denim Shorts, $39, Graphic T-Shirt, $65, Shoes, $35. Available at Hailee Grace Boutique.

The Lowdown: Take those casual appearances including cool and casual picture backpacks from day to night with the right pair of sneakers and bottoms. Throughout the day on the sandy shores, dressy heels are not perfect; however, for a night in the town or summer nighttime, a much more traditional and chic look is appreciated. Notice the relaxed picture t-shirts exhibited in both looks — perfect for surfer wear paired with a swim top, with denim shorts, a glistening set of dressy trousers or a bold and colorful skirt as envisioned. For day, amp up the sophistication by the incorporation of a kimono, denim jacket or a layering of bracelets to add dressiness.  Inspiration for the introduction of a picture t-shirt in this look was encouraged from the Jaws picture t-shirt about the Calvin Klein Spring 2019 ready-to-wear collection. These kinds of picture t-shirt shirts are perfect alternatives to get in closets all year because of their flexibility and coolness.

POLISHED SWIMWEAR

The Lowdown: For warm summer months when a blouse could just be excessive fabric, opt for a colorful swim top lace by an elaborate piece of heels and jewelry. To create the total outfit feel much more refined and polished, incorporate a high-waisted set of trousers with the top. These striped stylish joggers are an ideal alternative as the substance is mild enough for a hot afternoon and the pop of colour adds a distinctive singularity. Though, after the sun goes down and the wind picks up, this absent top might be needed. In this example, set a lightweight sweater on the swim top and style it in an over-the-shoulder style. When doing this, the total appearance looks tasteful, yet with a minor bohemian twist.

VINTAGE VIBES

The Lowdown: This boho-chic inspired look pulled major ’70s vibes because the “No Nukes” shirt paired with all the colorful kimono and flared denim were combined. Ideal for a night from the beach, this casual ensemble is one which translates to summer and adjustments into fall also. Although skinny and resized match denim came as the forerunner of denim style, wide leg denim trousers are making a comeback and breaking through any current boundaries. Back in fashion, these trousers shout surfer vibes and can easily be paired with extra outfits in varying seasons. To produce the ensemble polished, then add a bold piece of jewellery like an eye-catching necklace, earring or cuff.
