In a lot of ways, life is about the journey rather than the destination. For many, that journey is mainly concentrated on innovative and spiritual growth that is apparently the situation for Trevor Hall. Located in a small community in South Carolina, Hall is becoming a part of a world traveller, embarked on his own journey of self-discovery, created a warm and relaxing foundation of lovers during his more than 15-year music career and ultimately, has settled here in Colorado where he proceeds to nurture his creative passions.

Surrounded by a mindset that simplifies sports and traditional four-year college education in a college Hall always yearned for a lot more. “I never truly anticipated to sort of be on this journey — ”, this inner journey stated Hall using 303 Magazine. “Butyou know, growing up I was always starving as a child. ”

Despite the lack of emphasis put on the arts and imagination in his team, Hall still saw them for themself as a perfect outlet. “I thoughtyou know man, that may ’t be this, you know? ” stated Hall, representing on his formative years. ” This could ’t be everything. I always had this deep hunger, but I just didn’t know — in that time it wasn’t pointed at any particular direction. It was always searching, searching, searching — and songs and art were my tools to research, to go beyond the bounds of just the mundane. ”

Hall left his congregation at the South as a teen, finding himself. He studied in an arts-focused boarding college in California for school. It was there he met his roommate Sam, whose minor influence would lead Hall down a route of discovery that is spiritual and creative.

“[Sam’s] father and brothers were having a saint in India. Just like a mystic yogi in India, like the ’70s,” stated Hall. “He had a photo of this yogi in his wall and I just sort of was really, very attracted into the picture and then I heard more about him and I sort of fell in love with this being and was sort of having answers to these questions that I think I’d needed so long, you know? ” From that point, Hall started to instruct himself on philosophies that surrounded and the civilization.

Hall’s perspective and practices are uncommon here in the world. Perhaps that’s Hall found himself Boulder a couple of years ago where he continues to pursue his spiritual and creative passions.

While that internal journey can occasionally cause people to take their clinics or themselves overly seriously, that journey has had the opposite effect on Hall. “Well, all that material online is all a hoax. I just need to introduce myself as a spiritually enlightened person,” stated Hall, as he responded to inquiries about his 26, giggling. “No, no — sorry, I’m just being a smartass, what’therefore the matter? ”

All jokes aside, Hall’s existence has assisted him to acquire an hot fanbase. The view fostered by his enthusiasm shines through his songs. Interconnectivity and oneness’ sense crystalizes within his lyrics, uplifting and creating music that is ultimately positive. Not all of his songs are positive though. Some tunes The Fruitful Darkness, detail struggle.

When looking at his discography, Hall’s music illuminates the commonalities of the human state. The expectation of this journey, the wonder, the desperation and the struggle is detailed throughout his songs and strikes a resonating chord. All of this is what’s helped to develop a inviting and welcoming community of lovers, known as Villagers.

“I consider myself really fortunate to have the lovers that I have,” stated Hall, representing on his music career. For over 15 decades, Hall has curated his songs without seeing the success” that some of his fellow musicians ever have seen. “[My music profession ] was a very, very lengthy still is, sort of a journey. I’m very thankful for that because through that moment, that length of timeI’t really gotten to know a good deal of my supporters and they’ve grown together with me. ”Trevor Hall, 303 Magazine, 303 Music, Mariah Hansen

From acting in front of 10 individuals in a local cafe to signing with a label and then relegated into behaving as an independent artist, Hall’so lovers have remained supportive through all of the ups and downs of their journey. Hall’s gratitude for those lovers is among the factors that drives him to keep to release music that is true to who he is. “I’t always wanted my own songs to make that sense of oneness,” stated Hall. “That you knowwe’this and that or re not all separated or alone. There’s this togetherness that is so vital in life. So, I’m pretty blessed. ”

That sense of community and interconnectedness was a part of Hall’so decision to release his latest , “Put Down What You Are Carrying. ” Set to release in front of his excursion, which contains a look at Red Rocks,  the only nearly remained in the writings after the COVID-19 outbreak brought music. The tune would function as a teaser to get the excursion where Hall and his Brett Dennen were set to embark on.

However, in such uncertain times, Hall and Dennen chose to release the single with the understanding that the tour might never seem the way they’d intended. The single was introduced by them together with the purpose of committing something good to the fans despite the world’s current state — and lovers were ecstatic.

The tune seems to have come together at a time when the Villagers had Hall’s grounding positivity the most. “I had an experience on one of my trips in India, sort of an individual encounter, but through that experience, those words came to me personally, ‘put down what you’re carrying,’” stated Hall. “The tune is actually about letting go of the things which are weighing down us . It’so funny how we hold onto these experiences or items that don’t serve us. ”

While that song is a standalone single, lovers won’t need to wait for more new music from Hall. With all of the makings of an album listed, Hall is compiling his latest work to a brand new album which will likely be released sometime this Fall.

“Music is a thing, for me personally, it’s a thing where I’m from my way,” stated Hall about his procedure. “It’s certainly one of the only instances in my life once I’m enjoying songs or listening to songs in which I’m just witnessing. I’m not assessing, I’m out of my bullshit story I reside in the time. ” Rather than moving to his creative process together with aim, he plans each procedure . Deciding to let his art direct himrather than trying to direct his art.

“Sometimes I feel as if I’m singing a tune but lots of this time I feel as a tune is currently singing me personally. It’s this beautiful type of conversation that you almost don&rsquo. You lose yourself. I never have — of courseI get inspired by things that were different. I have a bit of an idea, but I don’t try to get involved because I like the songs to introduce itself and to lead me. Normally, for me is what happens I just try to remain in a space that is uplifting. Just make to make, don’t be attached to the way that it’s going to come out, or that or this. You’re in that beautiful act of creation. Subsequently, what happens isI start recording a whole lot of tunes or I have a whole lot of songs composed, and they start to sort of encounter. ”

With every one of the songs Hall is allowing the music take him on its own journey. “I’m sort of at the stage where individuals ’t recorded many tunes, the album is definitely there,” stated Hall. “But I could ’t name it yet. I can’t name the contour, I can’t name yet. I’ve got an idea around it, but I love to let it breathe. I love to let it lead me instead of lead it, I guess. ”

That ’s not going to say he doesn’t have an idea of what the album will be.  When The Fruitful Darkness followed Hall through struggle and darkness that taught him lessons his next album will probably be brighter. Hall explains the vibe of this album he’s working on as a breath of fresh air.

While he hopes the album to have a couple points pointed to the shadow, this album is going to be a party of their light in the end of the tube as opposed to focusing on the lessons to be heard. “On The Fruitful Darkness it was like I just went through that and that is precisely what I learned,” stated Hall. “Whereas this album, I think it’s going to get more of a young energy for it. ”

As for the tunes that t make the cut? When the time is right, they receive their finishing touches and also be released. In the long run, the album that Hall feels is booming is a bright light for Villagers who have battled a year filled with unease and uncertainty in the midst of a pandemic. In case Hall’s music and community of lovers will teach us anything, it s O much like raising a child, getting through rough times could have a village.

Trevor Hall’s Red Rocks show was rescheduled for October 11 in response to queries over COVID-19. For information on other display dates and updates about the show in Red Rocks after this year, follow Trevor Hall on societal media.
