Police have apprehended two suspects after a school shooting in Denver this afternoon. According to the Denver Post, the shooting happened around 2 p.m. at STEM School Highlands Ranch at Highlands Ranch, Colorado — a Denver suburb — who left eight people injured, according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects are said to be another a juvenile — one man and students from the college. After the shooting happened, along with other schools in the area the school was placed on lockdown. Police initially thought that there was a third gunman but officials believe that they’ve apprehended the men responsible for the shooting. FBI is currently helping local law enforcement.

No deaths have been also reported by them although the police haven’t gone into specifics about the severity of the injuries.  Littleton Adventist Hospital said they received five patients. While the other three have been discharged, two of these remain in serious condition. Skyridge Medical Center stated there were two patients in the school there but the injuries are not life-threatening.

Parents were told to meet their children in the Northridge Recreation Center that was near the school.

STEM School Highlands Ranch is approximately eight miles from Columbine High School where the 1999 school shooting happened that left twelve students and a teacher dead.
