Colorado and its signature Red Rocks Amphitheatre might not find the return of occasions before 2021, according to CPR News.

As the music world encounters its “missing summertime,” venues, promoters, bands — and even fans — have mentally prepared themselves for a uneventful year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Behaves have started reserving dates instead of 2020 in 2021 out to play it safe.

The spokesman for Denver Arts and Venues, Brian Kitts, recently stated : “It’s wishful thinking we go out of mass parties of 10 people to 10,000 people like we’d possess at Red Rocks. I simply don’t believe anybody’s expecting that right now. It’s pretty difficult to find out that & rsquo; s & rsquo; s happening every single minute of every day, and how this works out without a great deal of imaginative thinking in any venue. ”

Roughly 170 shows happen at Red Rocks, but this year is much, much different.  The huge majority of scheduled events for this summer including Flume, The Black Keys, Kraftwerk, The String Cheese Incident, and many more have been canceled or postponed.  It’s unclear if reveals scheduled for later in the year may happen as proposed — Rezz, Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic, etc. (but we sure hope ).

The town of Denver has joined with Reopen Every Venue Safely (REVS) to acquire live music back on the right track. The pilot cities include Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans and more.
