The Floozies blend funk and bass on ‘I Ain’t Home’ with Dirt Monkey [Stream]

Funk and wubs go together like bread and butterwhich is exactly what electro-funk duo The Floozies are serving up to “I Ain’t Home,” their new only with Dirt Monkey.

Brothers Mark and Matt Hill, famous for blending jazz and funk , take inspiration from their midwestern origins since they team up together with Dirt Monkey–hailing from the bass funding of Denver–for a more hearty double dose of bass guitar.

“I Ain’t Home” would be the first single out of the brothers’ approaching record, Dayglow Funk, that –contrary to the name of their newest single–includes a collaboration with Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne. Based from Lawrence, Kansas, The Floozies maintain their Funk Street homecoming show in KC.

The Floozies are embarking in their Dayglow Funk tour with dwell hydro-funk group SunSquabi, including aid from Late Night Radio, Defunk, and No Bide. Dirt Monkey, who’s currently releasing his collaboration Jansen in March, is encouraging Liquid Stranger in his Ascension Tour.
