WATCH: Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia hits inside-the-park home run against Phillies

Colorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia hit an inside-the-park home run Saturday evening at the second inning against the Philadelphia Phillies, the 18th in Rockies history.

Tapia hesitated after blasting a “moonshot” off the center field wall and it careened into left field, according to a tweet by Denver Post baseball writer Kyle Newman. He cruised all the way to home plate and then turned on the jets.

It was the first inside-the-park home run in franchise history because Charlie Blackmon did it against the New York Mets in an away match on July 16, 2017.

Tapia slid into home plate but t have to due to the throw was off target.

The run gave the Rockies a 2-0 lead against the Phillies in the second inning. Charlie Blackman slugged a home run.
