Ditch the bubbly and mix up among these lux cocktails into ring in the New Year.

Everything about this year has been weird, so why not skip the champagne to get something with a little more spunk to kickstart the last hours of 2020 from the doorway.

With its smooth and refined finish, this daring cocktail is inspired by Mexican world champion boxer & Hennessy ambassador, Canelo Álvarez.  The abundant flavors of fruit, cinnamon and spice draw inspiration from Ponche Navideño, a classic Mexican punch. Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège is the perfect balance of red fruit with subtle cone spice, complimenting a tasty Ponche Navideño g for a refreshing spin in a Old Fashioned.

Ingredients:

2 ounces. Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège Cognac
1/4 ounce.  Ponche Navideño Protein * (cinnamon or spice syrup)

Preparation: Add ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cream, stir to cool, strain into a rocks glass over large cube. Garnish with a lemon twist and dehydrated apple wedge.

*Ponche Navideño Syrup 

2 cups brown sugar
4 cups water.

Blend over high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. After boiling, add the next and reduce to a simmer

1/4 cup almonds 1/4 cup chopped prunes
1/2 cup blueberries 3 hibiscus tea bags
2 tsp sliced red apple
1 cup full orange peel
6 cloves
4 cinnamon sticks

Preparation: Reduce 1/3rd, remove from heat and pressure to remove spices and fruit.  Place syrup into a container and refrigerate.

Ingredients:

2 ounces. Bullet Bourbon
1/2 ounce. Peach Liqueur
1/2 ounce. Demerara Simple Syrup
1 bar spoon of Luxardo Cherry Juice
1 dash of Angostura Bitters
1 dash of Peychauds Bitters

Planning: Stir in Bar Glass . Strain in big “Rocks” glass with one big ice world. Garnish with Orange Peel and two Luxardo Cherries.

Ingredients:

2 cups Rhum Barbancourt Reserve Speciale
2 cups of cream of coconut Blend two cups of condensed milk
2 tbsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
2 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
4 teaspoons. Fresh Lime Juice

Preparation: In a big bowl, combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pour into a glass jar or glass bottle and refrigerate until serving. It can also be served over ice cream. Always shake the bottle or glass container prior to serving. Store in the fridge. This recipe should yield about 6 cups daily.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounce. Tanqueray Gin
1/2 ounce. Maraschino liqueur
1/3 ounce. Creme de Violette
1 ounce. Lemon Juice
3/4 ounce. Simple Syrup

Planning: Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker full of ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry. Serve straight up with no ice.
